Woman Killed, 4 Injured As Car Collides With Auto-Rickshaw In Koraput

Koraput: A woman was killed while four others were injured in a head-on collision between a car and an auto-rickshaw in Padua police limits of Koraput district on Tuesday.

According to sources, both the vehicles fell into Patali River following the collision that occurred in the evening. Later, the body of the woman was retrieved from the ill-fated car. Four others rescued from the auto-rickshaw were shifted to a hospital in critical condition.

The number of passengers inside the car is yet to be ascertained.

Padua police and Nandapur firefighters have reportedly launched a rescue operation.
