MD predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall in some Odisha districts
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday predicted that several parts of Odisha will continue to receive rainfall in the coming days.
The IMD has issued a yellow warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall in several districts of the state.
As per IMD, the cyclonic circulation over Jharkhand and the neighbourhood now lies over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh.
Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 26.07.2024)
Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Khordha, Nayagarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Bargarh.
Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Boudh, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Deogarh, Sonepur, Balasore, Jajpur, Puri .
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 26.07.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 27.07.2024)
Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Bargarh.
Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sonepur, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Nuapada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Jajpur, Boudh.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 27.07.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 28.07.2024)
Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jajpur.
