There will be no major change in the weather conditions in Odisha in the next 48 hours. However, the maximum or the day temperature is likely to rise further by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius thereafter in several parts of the state, predicted the India Meteorological Department on Tuesday.

As per the IMD, the maximum temperature is likely to be more than 40 degrees C at many places in Odisha. The maximum temperature is expected to be above normal by 3 to 5 degrees C from April 3 to April 6, 2024. It is mainly due to the prevailing northwesterly/ westerly dry air and high solar insolation.

“The maximum temperature is likely to be between 39 degrees and 41 degrees C at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha and between 36 to 38 degrees C over the coastal districts of Odisha during the next 4 to 5 days,” the IMD said.
