People of Odisha can expect some respite from the prevailing chilly conditions as the night temperature is likely to rise in the State in the next 2-3 days. 

India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday informed that the minimum temperature is expected to gradually rise by 3 degrees Celsius (C) to 4 degrees C in the next 2-3 days. 

The Regional MeT also stated that the State will not witness cold wave conditions in the next 7 days.

"Cold conditions update: Night temperature likely to rise by 3 to 4 deg Celcius during next 2- #3days. No chance of Cold wave in the state during next 7 days." tweet the regional meteorological Department

 

Phulbani on Tuesday became the coldest town in the State, registering a minimum temperature of 8.6 degrees Celsius followed by G.Udayagiri (8.8 degrees Celsius) and Daringbadi (9 degrees Celsius).
