Even as rainfall continued in several parts of the State under the influence of the western disturbance, the Regional Meteorological Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar has issued 'yellow warning' for more rainfall in as many as 11 districts of Odisha for the next few hours.

The Met Centre has predicted light to moderate rainfall in Dhenkanal, Angul, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Ganjam, Gajapati, Khordha, Nayagarh and Kandhamal districts for the next three hours.

The Met Centre has also predicted light to moderate rain or thundershower at most places over the districts of Odisha on Friday.

Besides, the Met department has issued yellow warning for thunderstorms with lightning accompanied with hail over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri for the next 24 hours.

Similarly, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati and at one or two places over the rest of the districts of Odisha on January 16.

“There will be no large change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) during next two days. However, the minimum temperature will gradually fall by 2 to 3 degree Celsius thereafter over the districts of Odisha,” the weather office had informed on Thursday.
