Rainfall Alert
Moderate rain with one or two spells of intense rainfall is very likely to lash five districts in Odisha for the next two hours, the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar predicted on Monday.
The regional weather office has issued an Orange alert for moderate to heavy rainfall for Cuttack, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore and Jajpur.
"As per latest radar imagery, moderate rain with one or two spells of intense / heavy falls very likely over some parts of Cuttack (Including Cuttack city area), Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore and Jajpur during next two hours," a bulletin issued by the MeT office read.
"Water logging in low lying area, occasionally poor visibility is very likely. Avoid movement in affected areas and make arrangements for drainage of excess water. People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and act accordingly," the bulletin read further.
Similarly, light to moderate rain/thundershower with lightning is very likely to affect some parts of Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Gajapati, Sundergarh, and Baragarh within the next three hours today, the weather office predicted.
