The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday informed that yesterday's cyclonic circulation over Northwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts persists.

Under its influence, a low pressure area likely to form over Northwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours. The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall activities in different parts of Odisha till July 24, 2023.

Day-1: (Valid up to 0830 Hrs IST of 20.07.23)

Orange Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20cm) is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Ganjam, and Gajapati.

Yellow Warning: Heavy Rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Angul, Nayagarh, Boudh, Puri and Khordha.

Day-2: (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 20.07.2023 to 0830 Hrs IST of 21.07.2023.)

Orange Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20cm) is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi and Kandhamal.

Day-3: (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 21.07.2023 to 0830 Hrs IST of 22.07.2023)

Orange Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20cm) is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Sonepur, Bolangir, Sambalpur, Boudh, Angul, Cuttack, and Jagatsinghpur.

Day-4: (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 22.07.2023 to 0830 Hrs IST of 23.07.2023)

Orange Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20cm) is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, and Kalahandi.
