Upper air cyclonic circulation over southeast and adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal; low pressure likely!

The Regional Meteorological Centre has issued an alert forecasting widespread rainfall in different parts of Odisha in the coming days, as an upper air cyclonic circulation lies over the southeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal. 

The weather system, currently active over the southeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal, is expected to likely intensify into a low-pressure area, possibly triggering significant rainfall activity across the state.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday informed that there will be no large change in maximum temperature(day temperature) for the next 5-6 days over the districts of Odisha.

The IMD has also issued yellow warnings for hot and humid conditions and thunderstorm activities till June 13, 2025.
