The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted a gradual decline in thunderstorm activities in the coming days. As per IMD, there will be no large change in the maximum temperature (Day temperature) over the districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours.

The maximum temperature is likely to rise gradually by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius thereafter.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Nuapada, Bolangir, Nabarangpur, and Kalahandi.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 06.05.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 07.05.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, and one or two places over the rest of the districts Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Kandhamal.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 07.05.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 08.05.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Balasore, and Mayurbhanj.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 08.05.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 09.05.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Balasore, and Mayurbhanj.
