After reeling under intense heat wave spell of over 18 days, the people of Odisha can expect much needed relief from the scorching hot and humid conditions.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday predicted that there will be considerable drop in the maximum temperature in Odisha.

In a tweet, IMD informed that there is possibility in the rise of thunderstorm activities in different parts of the state in the next two days. The thunderstorm-related activities will be crucial as it is likely to bring down the maximum temperature by 3 to 5 degrees.

Apart from this, the IMD has also predicted thunderstorm activities in several coastal and adjoining districts in the next 24 hours.
