IMD predicts heavy rainfall in Odisha districts
The cyclonic circulation over Jharkhand and its neighbourhood has become less marked, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday.
Similarly, the trough from the cyclonic circulation over northwest Madhya Pradesh now runs northeast Rajasthan and neighbourhood to Bangladesh across south Uttar Pradesh, south Bihar and Gangetic West Bengal.
As per the IMD, several parts of Odisha are likely to experience heavy rainfall and thunderstorm activities in the next four to five days.
Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 14.08.2024)
Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) and thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Kendrapara, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Ganjam.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 14.08.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 15.08.2024)
Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) and thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 15.08.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 16.08.2024)
Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh ,Deogarh.
