Cold wave conditions continued to sweep Odisha with the minimum temperature falling below 15 degree Celsius in many places on Tuesday.

As many as 12 places have recorded temperature below 15 degree Celsius. Daringbadi, also called the Kashmir of Odisha, emerged as the coldest place in the State with the minimum temperature dropping to as low as 7.5 degree Celsius. 

Other places which reordered temperature below 15 degree Celsius are Titilagarh (11.8), Keonjhar (12), Phulbani (12), Bolangir (12.5), Jharsuguda (12.6), Bhawanipatna (13), Sonepur (13.5), Koraput (14), Hirakud (14.2), Baripada (14.5) and Chandbali (14.6).

The minimum temperatures in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack were 15.6 and 15 degree Celsius respectively.

 
The weather office predicted that dry weather is likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha in the next few days. Similarly, shallow to moderate fog is very likely to prevail at a few places over interior Odisha and at one or two places over coastal districts.

No significant change will be observed in the minimum temperature (night temperature) during the next few days and thereafter the temperature will gradually fall by 3-4°C over the districts of Odisha. 

In Bhubaneswar and neighbourhood, fog and mist will be observed in the morning and mainly clear sky will prevail later.
