As per IMD, a low-pressure area is likely to form over Westcentral Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours Under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over Central Bay of Bengal.

Monsoon withdraws from some parts of West Rajasthan and Kachchh

The southwest monsoon has withdrawn from some parts of West Rajasthan and Kachchh against the normal date of September 17, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.

The line of withdrawal of southwest monsoon now passes through Anupgarh, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Bhuj and Dwaraka. Similarly, conditions are favourable for further withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from some more parts of West Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Punjab, Haryana and Gujarat during next the 24 hours, said IMD.

As per IMD, a low-pressure area is likely to form over Westcentral Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours Under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over Central Bay of Bengal.

East & Northeast India: Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely over Assam & Meghalaya on 25 & 26; SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim & Arunachal Pradesh on 26 September.

Isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Assam & Meghalaya during the week; Odisha during 23-26 September; West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand during 25-27; over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during 24th-29th September.
