A western disturbance as a cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Iran and high moisture feeding from the Arabian Sea to northwest India is likely during March 1 and 2, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday.

As per the IMD, several Indian states are likely to experience snowfall, heavy rainfall, and hailstorms in the next five days.

Here is a detailed forecast for some states:

Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh: Heavy rainfall/snowfall at isolated places on March 1. Heavy to very heavy rainfall/snowfall is very likely at isolated places on March 2.

Himachal Pradesh: Heavy rainfall/snowfall at isolated places on March 1.Heavy to very heavy rainfall/snowfall is very likely at isolated places on 2nd March. Hailstorm is likely at isolated places on 1st and 2nd of March.

Uttarakhand: Heavy rainfall/snowfall at isolated places is likely on March 1 and 2. Hailstorm is likely at isolated places on March 1 and 2.

Punjab: Heavy rainfall at isolated places is likely on March 2. Hailstorm is likely at isolated places on March 1 and 2.

Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi: Generally cloudy sky & very light rain/ thundershowers towards night on 1st and generally cloudy sky & light rain/ thundershowers and gusty winds (speed 30-40 kmph) on March 2 over Delhi. Hailstorm is likely at isolated places over Haryana on March 2.
