Cold day to severe cold day conditions are likely to continue over some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Rajasthan during the next two days and decrease thereafter, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday.

As per IMD, dense to very dense fog is also likely to continue over Northwest India during the next two days and gradually decrease thereafter. Similarly, several parts of Northwest and Central India are likely to experience light rainfall spells from January 8 to January 10, 2024.

Light to moderate rainfall is also likely over south Peninsular India with isolated heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu and Kerala during the next 3-4 days, said IMD.

As per IMD, there will be no large change in the minimum temperature (Night temperature) over the districts of Odisha during next five days. It is likely to be above normal by 2 to 3 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of Odisha.
