Rainfall in Odisha for next couple of days: IMD
Odisha is bracing for a deluge as weather patterns signal light to moderate rainfall expected to sweep across many districts within the next 48 hours.
Shallow to moderate fog is likely to shroud parts of Keonjhar, creating a potentially hazardous environment for travellers.
From December 25 to December 26, scattered parts of Puri, Khordha, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, and Nabarangpur districts are expected to receive light rain.
On the other hand, dry conditions are expected to prevail over the remaining districts of the state. From December 26 to December 29, dry conditions are likely to continue over all districts, except for a slight drop of 2-3°C in minimum temperatures during the subsequent days.
Manorama Mohanty, Director of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar, announced that rain is expected to impact Odisha within the next 48 hours. Residents can anticipate a cloudy sky and light rain tomorrow. Following December 26, the weather is expected to remain dry across the state, she said.
Bhubaneswar is likely to witness a cloudy sky with light rain; maximum temperatures would be at about 27°C and minimum at 17°C. The latest observations had reported a maximum temperature of 25.1°C and a minimum of 19.4°C, along with 0.1 mm of rainfall.
