With winter chill being witnessed in some parts of Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday informed that Phulbani recorded the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 13.5 degree C in the past 24 hours.

As per IMD’s regional centre in Bhubaneswar, the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded minimum temperature of 20 and 19.4 degree C, respectively.

Even though dry weather currently prevails in most parts of the state, there is possibility of rain and thunderstorm activities in several parts of the state in the coming days.

Weather forecast and warning for districts of Odisha

Day-1 (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 01.10.2022) Light rain/thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri.

Day- 2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 01.10.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 02.11.2022)

Light rain/thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 02.11.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 03.11.2022)

Light rain/thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur , Rayagada ,Gajapati.
