The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted rain and thunderstorm activities in several districts of Odisha in the next few days.
Though no warning has been issued, several parts of the state are likely to experience light to moderate rain and thunderstorm activities in the coming days.
As per the IMD, a trough of low easterlies runs over Southwest and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal.

Light rain very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 02.11.2023to 0830 hrs IST of 03.11.2023)
Light to moderate rain/ thunderstorm very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 03.10.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 04.11.2023)
Light to moderate rain/ thunderstorm very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal.
Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 04.11.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 05.11.2023)
Light to moderate rain/ thunderstorm very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri and at one or two places over the rest districts of Coastal Odisha,Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur.
