Normal life in different parts of Odisha was adversely affected due to intense cold wave conditions in the past 24 hours. As per India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, G.Udaygiri was recorded the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 5.5 degree Celsius.

As per the available data, seven places in Odisha recorded minimum temperature below 10 degrees in the past 24 hours.

Here is the list of top coldest places in Odisha

G.Udaygiri: 5.5 degree C

Semiliguda: 6.1 degree C

Phulbani: 7.5 degree C

Korei: 7.8 degree C

Koraput: 8.5 degree C

Daringbadi: 9.5 degree C

Chiplima: 9.8 degree C

As per IMD, the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar on Friday recorded minimum temperature of 12.4 and 13.4 degree Celsius, respectively.

The IMD on Friday had issued an alert for shallow to moderate fog at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Khordha, Puri, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Kandhamal and Kalahandi in the next 24 hours.

“There will be no large change in the minimum temperature (Night temperature) during the next 24 hours, but there will be a gradual rise by 2 to 3 degree C in subsequent 2 days at many places over the districts of Odisha,” IMD said on Friday.
