As predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several parts of Odisha are reeling under intense cold wave conditions for the past couple of days.

As per IMD’s latest weather bulletin, Similiguda in Koraput district recorded the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 2 degree Celsius on Saturday night.

On Saturday, the IMD had issued an ‘yellow warning’ for cold wave conditions for several parts of Odisha. The weather agency had predicted intense cold wave conditions to prevail in the next for the next 48 hours.

The twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded minimum temperature of 11.5 and 10.5 degree celsius respectively.
