"A low pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood around 9th November,” tweeted Regional Meteorological Centre.

As per the IMD, light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur in south Coastal Odisha next week due to the low-pressure system.

Earlier, the Regional Meteorological Centre in its mid-day bulletin on Friday said that dry weather will prevail over the districts of Odisha till November 9 while shallow to moderate fog will occur at one or two places over the districts of Nayagarh and Kalahandi.

The Met officials also predicted that there will be no large scale changes in the night temperature during the next two days across the State. However, the mercury will gradually fall by 2 to 3 degree Celsius thereafter.

As per the bulletin, Kenojhar was the coldest place in the State on Thursday with the mercury plummeting to 17.4 degree C while Sambalpur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 32.3 degree C.

The Met office had earlier forecast light to moderate rain or thundershower at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada and Nabarangpur on November 7 morning.
