Get ready for hot and humid conditions as the mercury is all set to rise again in Odisha after witnessing thunderstorm activities in the past couple of days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted that North-westerly winds are prevailing over the state at the lower level. Moreover, there will be a gradual rise in the maximum temperature (Day Temperature) in Odisha.

As per the IMD’s forecast, the maximum temperature is likely to rise by 2 to 3 degrees C during the next 3 days and no large change is expected thereafter. However, light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is likely to occur in several parts of the state.

Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 10.04.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Nuapada, Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and at one or two places over the rest districts of South Odisha, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Deogarh.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 11.04.2024)

Light rain very is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 11.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 12.04.2024)

Light rain is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Bolangir, Sonepur, Nuapada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada.
