Even before the arrival of March, the people in Odisha are experiencing hot and sultry days owing to the sudden rise in the maximum temperature in the past few days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that several districts in Odisha are experiencing rise in maximum temperature which is above three to five degrees above the normal temperature. As per the forecast, the weather across Odisha will remain dry in the next five days.

However, the only relief for people is cool breeze which is being witnessed during the evening hours. Several districts of the state are also experiencing dense fog during the early hours of the day.

The rise in maximum temperature in February has started to affect normal lives of people in different parts of the state. Bhubaneswar recorded maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius on Saturday.

As per the forecast issued by IMD's Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar on Saturday, several parts of Odisha will witness dense fog and a yellow warning has also been issued in this regard.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 26.02.2023 up to 0830hrsIST of 27.02.2023)

Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara.
