The conditions are favourable for further advancement of Southwest Monsoon into remaining parts of Bihar, some more parts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir during the next 24 hours.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday said southwest monsoon is likely to advance into remaining parts of Arabian Sea and Gujarat; some parts of Rajasthan; remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir; some parts of Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh and Delhi between June 30 and July 1, 2022.

Rainfall/thunderstorm forecast & warnings:

Widespread light/moderate rainfall and isolated thunderstorm/lightning with isolated heavy rainfall likely over West Rajasthan and Punjab on July 1.

Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is likely over Uttarakhand on 30th and heavy to very Heavy rainfall is likely over Himachal Pradesh on 29th & 30th; Uttarakhand on June 28 and 29; West Uttar Pradesh on June 30; East Uttar Pradesh during June 29-30 and East Rajasthan on June 30 and July 1, 2022.

Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorm/lightning is very likely to continue over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal during the next 5 days.

Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Odisha during June 29- July 2, 2022. Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is likely over Bihar on June 29 and over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on June 28. Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Bihar on June 28 and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on June 29, 2022.
