Yellow alert for thunderstorm
The recent news of the early onset of the southwest monsoon in some parts of Odisha had elicited a positive response as several pockets received early rainfall triggered by a low-pressure system. This had brought down the maximum temperature in several parts of Odisha to some extent, providing relief from scorching hot and humid conditions.
As per the latest forecast, there will be no major change in the maximum or day temperature in Odisha during the next two days.
“No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during next 2 days, and thereafter rise by 2 to 4 degrees C in subsequent 4 days over the districts of Odisha,” said IMD in its latest weather report.
