As per IMD, it is likely to move west-north-westwards and intensify into a Depression over Jharkhand and neighbourhood during next 24 hours.

The low pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Jharkhand persists and associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea level, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday.

As per IMD, it is likely to move west-north-westwards and intensify into a Depression over Jharkhand and neighbourhood during next 24 hours.

The IMD further informed that heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar from August 3 to August 6; Gangetic West Bengal on August 2; Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from August 2 to August 6.

Weather Forecast For Odisha

As per IMD, heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar in the next 24 hours. A yellow warning has been issued by the IMD in this regard.

Though several parts of Odisha are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorm activities, no alert for heavy rainfall has been issued by the IMD.
