A Low Pressure area is likely to form over south Andaman Sea by tomorrow (November 30). As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), the system is likely to move west-north-westwards and concentrate into a Depression over Southeast and adjoining East-central Bay of Bengal during subsequent 48 hours.

Under its influence, isolated heavy rainfall is likely to lash Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the period from November 30 to December 2 and isolated to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur on December 1, 2021.

The IMD in its release has said that the intensity of rainfall likely to increase over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha from the night of December 3, 2021. The overall weather across Odisha will remain dry till Thursday (December 2, 2021).

According to the IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri and Jagatsinghpur between December 2 and December 3.

On Day 5 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 03.12.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 04.12.2021), light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of south coastal Odisha, at a few places over the districts of north coastal Odisha, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Kandhamal and Dhenkanal.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam and Puri.
