Low Pressure Likely Next Week; IMD Predicts More Rains In Odisha

A low pressure area is likely to form over Northwest Bay of Bengal and the neighbourhood around July 21, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday.

Though light to moderate rain and thundershower activity is continuing in several parts of Odisha, the intensity of rainfall is likely to increase in the State in coming days.

As per IMD, thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal and Kalahandi in the next 24 hours.
