The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday informed that the low pressure area now lies over northeast Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards towards northwest Madhya Pradesh during next two days.

As per IMD, the southwest monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of north Arabian Sea and some more parts of Rajasthan today.

“Active monsoon conditions likely to continue over Northwest, Central and West India during next three days. Southwest monsoon is likely to advance into remaining parts of the country during next 2-3 days,” said the IMD.

Northwest India: Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely over Himachal Pradesh on 28th; East Rajasthan during 28th & 30th June and Uttarakhand on 28 th & 29th June. Central India: Isolated very heavy rainfall very likely over West Madhya Pradesh during 28th-30th and East Madhya Pradesh on 28th June.

West India: Light/moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely over Konkan & Goa, Gujarat State and Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra during next 5 days.

East & adjoining Northeast India: Isolated heavy rainfall also likely over Jharkhand, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal on 28th and Bihar during 28th -30th June.

South India: Isolated heavy rainfall also likely over Coastal Karnataka during next 5 days; Kerala on 28th, 29th June & 2nd July, South Interior Karnataka on 28th June & 2nd July. Isolated very heavy rainfall also likely over Coastal Karnataka on 28th June.
