The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday informed that yesterday’s low-pressure area over north Odisha and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand has become less marked. However, the associated cyclonic circulation now lies over south Jharkhand and neighbourhood and extends up to middle tropospheric levels.

A cyclonic circulation is likely to form over Northwest Bay of Bengal within 48 hours, said IMD.

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bolangir. Heavy rainfall is also very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Boudh, Sonepur, Angul, Deogarh, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 18.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 19.07.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 19.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 20.07.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Puri, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 20.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 21.07.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Kandhamal.
