IMD issues yellow alert for heavy rain, thunderstorm in Odisha
The trough from the cyclonic circulation associated with the well-marked low-pressure area over Eastcentral Arabian Sea off south Konkan coast to south Chhattisgarh across south Madhya Maharashtra, south Marathwada, and north Telangana persists.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday informed that a low-pressure area is likely to form over west-central and adjoining North Bay of Bengal around May 27, 2025.
As per IMD, the low pressure is likely to become more marked during the subsequent two days. Several parts of Odisha are likely to experience heavy rainfall activities while some districts will continue to experience thunderstorm activities as well.
