Yesterday's well marked low pressure area over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts with the associated cyclonic circulation persists.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday informed that the low pressure area is likely to move slowly north-westwards across north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts.

As per the IMD, strong monsoon flow, squally weather with gusty surface wind at speeds reaching up to 45 to 55 kmph is likely to prevail along and off Odisha coast, West central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal till July 27, 2023.

Orange Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20cm) very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, and Koraput.

Day-2: (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 27.07.2023 to 0830 Hrs IST of 28.07.2023.)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bolangir and Bargarh.

Day-3: (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 28.07.2023 to 0830 Hrs IST of 29.07.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Keonjhar, Bargarh, and Mayurbhanj.

Day-4: (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 29.07.2023 to 0830 Hrs IST of 30.07.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Bolangir, Deogarh, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Sambalpur, Angul and Keonjhar.

Day-5: (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 30.07.2023 to 0830 Hrs IST of 31.07.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Sonepur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
