A cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Assam and neighbourhood and a trough runs from northwest Bihar to southeast Assam across north Bangladesh in lower tropospheric levels, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

As per IMD, a fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan Region from the night of March 26 and another from March 29, 2024.

Similarly, the maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to rise by 3-5 degree C during the next three days at many places over the districts of Odisha, and no large change thereafter. 

IMD further informed that the minimum temperature (night temperature) is also likely to rise by 2-3 degree C during next five days at many places over the districts of Odisha.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 26.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 27.03.2024): Light rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur.

Day 7 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 30.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 31.03.2024): Light rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar.
