A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan Region from the night of March 5, informed India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.

Scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall/snowfall is likely over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and isolated rainfall/snowfall is likely over Uttarakhand during March 5 and March 7, 2024 under its influence.

A cyclonic circulation also lies over northeast Assam at lower tropospheric levels. Under its influence and eastward movement of the current western disturbance, scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall/snowfall is very likely over Arunachal Pradesh during the next three days.
