IMD predicts thunderstorm activities, heavy rainfall in some Odisha districts

At a time when the Odisha government is preparing a contingency plan for agriculture in view of the deficient rainfall, the IMD on Wednesday informed that a cyclonic circulation lies over the Northeast and adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal.

As per IMD, there is a possibility of slight enhancement in rainfall in the form of thunderstorm activities in different parts of Odisha.

Besides, the IMD has also issued a warning for heavy rainfall in some parts of Odisha starting September 2, 2023. A yellow warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for some districts of the state till September 4.
