After a considerable drop in the maximum or day temperature owing to light to moderate rainfall activities, hot and humid conditions are likely to cause problems for the people as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted changes in weather conditions.

As per IMD, there will be no major change in the maximum and minimum temperature for the next two days. However, there is a forecast of a gradual rise in the temperature from March 11, 2024. As per the forecast, the maximum temperature is likely to register a gradual rise by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius in different parts of the state.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 09.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 10.03.2024): Light to moderate rain/thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Cuttack, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Bolangir, Boudh, Nabarangpur

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 11.03.2024): Light rain/thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur
