IMD predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall in some Odisha districts
The low pressure area over north Chhattisgarh and neighbourhood now lies over East Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Chhattisgarh.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted that several parts of Odisha will experience heavy rainfall in the next couple of days.
The IMD has also issued a yellow warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall in some parts of the state.
Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 23.07.2024)
Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Bolangir, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Nayagarh, Puri, Khordha, Bargarh.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.07.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 24.07.2024)
Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Sambalpur.
Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Nayagarh, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapara.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.07.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 25.07.2024)
Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kendrapara, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul.
Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar.
Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 25.07.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 26.07.2024)
Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri.
