Heavy Rainfall Alert Issued For Odisha Districts

The deep depression over Gangetic West Bengal lay centred over the Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Jharkhand. It is likely to move west-northwest-wards across Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand and weaken into a depression during the next 12 hours, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.

As per the IMD, it will continue to move west-northwest-wards across Jharkhand and North Chhattisgarh during the subsequent 24 hours. Moreover, the IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in two districts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.

An orange warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20cm) has been issued for the districts of Keonjhar and Sundargarh.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Mayurbhanj, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Bargarh.
