At a time when several parts of India are in the grip of intense cold wave conditions, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday predict ground frost conditions in several parts of Rajasthan and Haryana.

As per IMD, ground frost conditions are likely in many places over Rajasthan during the next 48 hours and in isolated pockets over Haryana during the next 24 hours.

“Cold wave to severe cold wave conditions in many pockets very likely over Rajasthan and cold wave conditions in isolated pockets over Jammu Division, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and west Uttar Pradesh during 48 hours,” said IMD.

The weather agency further said that there will be no significant change in minimum temperatures very likely over East India during the next two days and fall by 2-4°C thereafter.

Weather Forecast for Odisha

As per IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, the minimum temperature (Night temperature) is very likely to fall by 3 to 5 degree Celsius during the next two days and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha.

Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Bolangir, Sonepur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Jharsuguda and Sundergarh.
