Get ready for sultry weather conditions ahead as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday predicted a rise in the maximum or the day temperature in Odisha. The change in weather conditions is on the cards after several parts of the state experienced light to moderate rainfall and cloudy weather conditions in the past couple of days.

The rise in the maximum temperature is likely to cause discomfort to the people. As per IMD’s latest forecast, the maximum temperature in different parts of the state is likely to gradually rise in the next two days.

However, there would be no large change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next 4 to 5 days, said IMD.

On Thursday, Malkangiri recorded the highest maximum temperature of 37 degrees C while Phulbani recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 14.5 degrees C.
