The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a comprehensive forecast regarding weather conditions in the next few days across India.

As per IMD, heatwave conditions are likely to prevail over coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next two days. Similarly, several northeastern states are likely to experience heavy rainfall spells during the next five days.

Weather Forecast

Northeast India: Light/moderate widespread rainfall very likely over Northeast India during next 5 days. Heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh on May 16, 19 and May 20; over Assam & Meghalaya and Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during May 16 to May 20.

Isolated very heavy falls also likely over Assam & Meghalaya on May 16 ,18 and May 19, 2023.

Northwest India: Duststorm/dust raising winds very likely in isolated pockets over Haryana & Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during May 16 to 18

Central India: Dust Raising winds very likely in isolated pockets over Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha on May 16 and 17.

Maximum Temperatures, Forecast and Heat Wave Warnings

Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions in isolated pockets very likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh on 16th and heat wave conditions on May 17.

Due to humid air and high temperature, Hot and Discomfort weather is very likely over Odisha, coastal West Bengal, Rayalaseema, Kerala and Tamil Nadu during May 16-18 and over Konkan during May 18 to May 20.
