The conditions are becoming favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from some more parts of northwest India and some parts of adjoining central India during next three to four days, said India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.

As per IMD, the line of withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon currently passes through Khajuwala, Bikaner, Jodhpur and Naliya.

“A cyclonic circulation lies over central Pakistan and neighbourhood in lower tropospheric levels. A cyclonic circulation lies over Westcenral Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood in lower and middle tropospheric levels,” said IMD in its bulletin.

Weather forecast and warning:

Light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning is very likely over Bihar and over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on September 26 & 27 and Odisha on September 28 and September 29, 2022.

Scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning is very likely over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during September 27- 30 and over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal during September 26-28.

Scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning is very likely over Assam & Meghalaya on September 26 & 28, Mizoram on September 26 and over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on September 29 & September 30, 2022.
