Even as several districts in Odisha are experiencing a sudden rise in the maximum (day) temperature, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued an alert for dense fog in several parts of the state.

As per IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, there will be no large change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) over the districts of Odisha during the next 4-5 days.

“No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during next 3-4 days and gradual rise by 2-4 degrees Celsius is expected thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha,” said IMD.

Weather Forecast And Warning

Day-1 (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 24.02.2023)

Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Khordha.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Khordha, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, and Bhadrak.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.02.2023 up to 0830 hrs IST of 25.02.2023)

Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Khordha, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Puri.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 25.02.2023 up to 0830hrsIST of 26.02.2023)

Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, and Dhenkanal.
