The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted that the people of Odisha will get respite from cold wave conditions as there will be no major change in the minimum (night) temperature in the next 48 hours.

As per IMD, the minimum temperature in different parts of the State is likely to rise gradually by 3 to 4 degree Celsius during the subsequent three days.

A ‘Yellow Warning’ for dense fog has also been issued for several parts of the State by the weather bureau.

Weather forecast and warning for districts of Odisha for next five days:

Day-1 (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 05.01.2022)

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Nabarangpur Rayagada, Gajapati, Kalahandi and Kandhamal.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 05.01.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 06.01.2022)

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 06.01.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 07.01.2022)

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj. Dry weather condition is likely to prevail in several parts of the State till January 9, 2022.
