A trough runs from cyclonic circulation over north Odisha to east Vidarbha in lower tropospheric levels and an anti-cyclonic circulation lies over west-central Bay of Bengal & the neighbourhood, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday.
Under its influence, isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) over Jharkhand, Odisha, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and East Madhya Pradesh is likely to occur between March 16 and March 20, 2024.
The IMD has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm with lightning in several districts of Odisha in the next few days. “No large change in the maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next 3 days and gradual fall by 3-5°C at many places over the districts of Odisha in the subsequent 4 days and no large change in minimum temperature (night temperature) during next 4 days and thereafter gradual fall by 2-3°C is expected at many places over the districts of Odisha,” said IMD.
