The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued a ‘yellow warning’ for dense fog in several parts of Odisha in the next 24 hours. The minimum (night) temperature observed appreciable rise at one or two places over the districts of North interior Odisha and appreciable fall at one or two places over the districts of interior Odisha in the past 24 hours.

“There will be no large change in the minimum temperature (Night temperature) during next two days and it will fall thereafter by 2 to 3 degree C at many places over the districts of Odisha,” predicted IMD.

Day-1 (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 11.02.2023): Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Nayagarh, Khordha, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 11.02.2023 up to 0830 hrs IST of 12.02.2023): Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Raygada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur. As per the IMD, the weather will remain mostly dry in Odisha till February 15, 2023.
