Orange warning for heat wave in Odisha
Already the people across Odisha are now bearing the brunt of the rise in day temperatures ahead of Holi. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday informed that there is every possibility of further rise in maximum or day temperature in different districts of Odisha.
The IMD has also issued an orange warning for heat wave conditions in some parts of the state from March 15, 2025.
Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 14.03.2025)
Yellow Warning: Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Bolangir, Kalahandi, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Boudh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur.
Hot and humid condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Gajapati,Balasore.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 14.03.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 15.03.2025)
Yellow Warning: Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Bolangir, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Angul, Boudh, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sonepur.
Hot and humid condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Gajapati, Khordha, Cuttack.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 15.03.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 16.03.2025)
Orange Warning: Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda,Sonepur, Boudh, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Sundargarh.
Yellow Warning: Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh ,Kandhamal.
Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 16.03.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 17.03.2025)
Orange Warning: Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Boudh, Sonepur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Kalahandi.
Yellow Warning: Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada.
