Orange Warning For Thunderstorm, Heavy Rainfall
The conditions are favourable for further advancement of Southwest monsoon over some more parts of Odisha , Gujarat, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh during next two days, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.
The IMD further informed that a trough runs from a cyclonic circulation that lies over south Bangladesh and adjoining north Bay of Bengal to south Odisha.
Several parts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm activities with lightning and gusty winds along with heavy rainfall in some parts in the coming days.
The IMD has issued orange and yellow warnings for some districts of Odisha for thunderstorm and lightning.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri.
Orange Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph and heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar.
