Mercury likely to rise in Odisha
The people in different parts of Odisha got much-needed relief from the scorching heat and humid conditions owing to thunderstorm activities that have been continuing over several days. However, there is every possibility of change in such conditions as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted a rise in maximum temperature.
As per IMD, there will be no large change in the maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next 2 days and it is expected to rise by 2-4 degrees C at many places over the districts of Odisha.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 KMPH is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Angul, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur.
