The day temperature in various towns of Odisha has witnessed a significant rise due to a weak monsoon and lack of rainfall for the past couple of days.

As per Regional Meteorological Center, Bhubaneswar, six towns of the State have recorded 35 degrees Celsius or above temperature in the last 24 hours. Among them, Chandbali has topped the list with 35.8 degree Celsius.

During the peak hours of the day, it feels like Summer with excruciating heat.

Moreover, the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has predicted that the temperature will continue to persist around 35 degree Celsius for another four to five days. Districts like Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara will experience more heat.
